1. “Document” is short for “Documentary” because he felt the album was very “filmic”.
2. Why not lip sync? It was terrifying.
3. Favorite film makers? He doesn’t have any.
4. “If you were to say videos were not commercials, you would be lying to yourself.”
5. “I don’t think R.E.M. would ever make a live album…I’m not ever saying it won’t ever happen, I’m just saying I don’t see it now.”
6. Yeah, I can’t even watch the entire 8 minutes.
But I did see the R.E.M. GREEN tour later ‘cause my big step brother got my young-music-loving-ass tickets and while we were there I was all like, “What’s that funny smell?” He was all like, “WEED.” And I was all like, “Ewwww, that’s a funny word. HAHAHAHA. WHY DOES IS EVERYTHING SO FUNNYS?” “You’ll find out in college, you should probably go get a Pepsi. It’s OK, they won’t play ‘Stand’ for awhile.”
Anyway, for music-loving-ticket-buying big step-brothers, I am grateful.
